What’s the difference between a skincare product I can buy at the store and one that you use on my skin during a treatment at Truth?
As licensed estheticians, we are able to prescribe skincare products with higher percentages of active ingredients than you would be able to buy over the counter. Everyone has a specific set of skincare challenges and needs. We are trained to analyze your skin and determine the precise regimen that will best serve you.
What do you mean when you say that your estheticians are dually licensed?
All of our estheticians are trained and licensed to provide skin treatments and makeup application in Massachusetts to promote skin health, combat the effects of aging, and beautify the skin’s appearance. Additionally, all Truth team members are licensed massage therapists. Having training and expertise in both of these fields allows us to approach our work with a holistic understanding of the skin and body.
What should I leave for gratuity?
Leaving a tip is optional, though always appreciated. If you feel your service warranted a gratuity, the standard for a spa treatment is 18–20%. Our service providers prefer to accept gratuities in the form of cash or mobile cash sharing services (Venmo) but we are able to accept gratuity on credit card as well.
Do Truth gift certificates expire?
No, they do not expire. We will accept Truth gift certificates at any time.
Can I get a massage or facial if I am pregnant?
We would be honored to help you make self-care a priority during this special time in your life. We do not offer massage during the first trimester, but once you have entered your second trimester a prenatal massage is an amazing way to relieve lower back pain, ease tension, and reduce stress. Massage releases endorphins that are good for you and your baby. Pregnancy causes hormonal skin changes and our expert estheticians are here to guide you through it. You can have a facial at any time during your pregnancy. If you have any specific questions about whether massage, facial, or other spa services are right for you during your pregnancy we encourage you to consult with your healthcare provider.
Perfect for all occasions! Give the gift of wellness, relaxation and self-care.
